Epiphany (Epifanía): From the Greek language meaning ostentation, great manifestation. Christian meaning: God is among us.
The Epiphany is a historical event recorded as the visitation of three wise men bearing gifts to the son of God, baby Jesus at Bethlehem.
It is believed the visitors were Kings, astrologers and cartographers guided by a new star in the heavens; the star of Bethlehem. They traveled from far away oriental lands to pay homage to a new King born in the land of Judea.
The recognition of Jesus as King of the Jews by the three Kings, according to their knowledge of the astronomy science, is a categorical recognition of Israel as a kingdom, as a nation and as a state .
